The Encinitas Education Foundation (EEF) has organized a Best Ball Scramble golf tournament scheduled for next Wednesday, August 8th at 1:30pm at Twin Oaks Golf Course in San Marcos. The tournament is to benefit the nine elementary schools in the Encinitas Union School District. State budget cuts continue to negatively affect public education and the money raised by EEF will aid schools with challenges they face in the coming year. Some of EEF's past, successful events include a casino night, surf contest, art walk and sale, and a concert. The entry fee for the golf tournament is $150 per person or $250 to sponsor a hole.
