When you are taking your four-legged friend out for a walk this weekend, make sure to stroll on down to the seventh annual Cardiff Dog Days of Summer street fair and contest this Saturday. The festival, hosted by Cardiff 101 Main Street, will take place at the corner of Aberdeen Drive and Newcastle Avenue in Cardiff between 10am and 3pm and will host all kinds of events and booths for both you and your furry companion to enjoy. Activities include a Blessing of the Dogs, a Dirty Dogs Fashion Show, dog contests, food, a silent auction, a doggie agility course, doggie photo booth, crafts, a kid zone, and a concert by Bucket Ruckus. The contest goes throughout the festival and includes awards such as Cutest Puppy, Best Dog Trick, and Best Kisser. There will also be over 130 vendors displaying the latest and greatest in pet products Admission to the festival is free, but there is $5 fee per contest you enter. Over 8,000 pets and owners attended last year's festival and they are expecting over 10,000 this year! Grab your pooch and head on down.
