Bird Rock, a seaside neighborhood at the south end of La Jolla, is popularly known for its great surf, beautiful scenery and wonderful community of residents and families. On Saturday, August 11th, the Bird Rock Community Council will be hosting its annual summer festival and this year they are taking it to the streets! La Jolla Boulevard, specifically. Birdstock: Takin' It to the Streets will feature live music by The Jones Revival, art exhibits, restaurant and merchant specials, food truck fair, and tons of children's activities including face painting, chalk drawing, bounce houses, balloon artists, waterslides and more. The event is free but donations are much appreciated. Children may participate in the activities with a wristband which can be purchased at Bird Rock Coffee Roasters or La Jolla Mailbox Rental. The wristbands are $10 presale and $15 the day of. All proceeds will benefit Bird Rock Elementary School. Come out, bring the kids, and enjoy Bird Rock at its finest!
