Welcome to Solana Beach
Solana Beach is classy, affluent beach town with a flare of design and fashion. Solana Beach is located right between Del Mar to the South and Cardiff by the Sea to the North. It boasts the Cedros Design District, a train station, cozy hillside neighborhoods, wonderful restaurants with food from around the globe, and beautiful beaches. Residents here enjoy the combination of a hillside beach town with a touch of style and cosmopolitan flavor. Each neighborhood of Solana Beach is unique with its opportunities and its drawbacks. Weather Selling or Buying in Solana Beach, it is important to hire a Solana Beach Real Estate Broker who has a long history and knowledge of Solana Beach Real Estate. Guy Bahringer and the Living West Real Estate Team have been helping Coastal Buyers and Sellers in Solana Beach Since 2001.
Cedros Design District
The Cedros Design district is a very unique blend of cafes, restaurants and of course, designer shops. The design shops are geared toward a homeowner who wants their home to be uniquely furnished and appointed. From the European bath and sink shop to the wood and tile flooring store, there is a little of everything in home design here in the Cedros Design District. The Cedros Design District also has a wonderfully intimate music venue called The Belly Up Tavern. Famous bands come from all over the world to perform in this very unique venue in an equally unique beach town.
The Solana Beach Train Station
The Solana Beach Train Station is conveniently situated to take you downtown San Diego for an urban experience and a Padres baseball game, or north to see a Lakers basketball game in LA! The train is a convenient and relaxing option for those traveling in North County San Diego. Fitting in with the whole designer feel of Solana Beach, the Train Station here is an architectural point of interest as well.
The Beaches
The beaches of Solana Beach are exceptional! They have the charm of the white sand and gentle waves combined with picturesque sandstone cliffs. Relatively uncrowded, these beaches are generally wide and so are an excellent place to walk all the way from Cardiff to the north, all the way to Del Mar to the South. Fletcher Cove is a great place to catch a North County San Diego Sunset.
Fletcher Cove Park
Fletcher Cove is a park at the west end of Loma Santa Fe Rd. It used to be just a parking lot and beach entrance for a beach cove and surf break called "The Pillbox." The city has done an exceptional job creating a park complete with a large lawn, basketball court, playground, restrooms with outdoor beach shower etc. During the summer months, there are family movies played out on the lawn and occasionally there are bands playing music as well. Bring a couple chairs and a picnic and enjoy the sunset view and summertime entertainment!
