Home to the only true harbor along this area of the California Coast, Morro Bay is a must stop for many sailing vessels traveling up and down the coast. A vibrant and historical fishing village, combined with a charming waterfront complete with fresh Seafood Restaurants, wine bars, breweries, surf shops etc. lining the embarcadero, make it a popular spot for road trips as well. Being a sailor, my vote would be for the well positioned Morro Bay Yacht Club as the best seat in town for sunsets over the rock. The residential real estate here enjoys a hillside setting so bay and ocean view homes are plentiful. Main street boasts one of the best music venues in all of San Luis Obispo county called The Siren. You can also find health food stores, Sunshine Health Foods and Shine Cafe are great spots for healthier diets. The Morro Bay Golf Course has phenomenal bay and ocean and Morro Rock views from a casual, affordable golf course. The largest of the north coast communities of San Luis Obispo County, there are several different communities with very unique feels to them. From the more downtown community of Morro Bay near the embarcadero, to the top of the hill community closer to the golf course and Hwy 1, to the North Morro Bay community that is a little sleepier and more relaxed feeling and allows better ocean and beach access, each community within Morro Bay offers something a little bit unique.
