Welcome to Cambria

Cambria is truly a gem of a community and quite possibly my favorite in all of San Luis Obispo County.  Located on the north coast, just north of Cayucos, it is perfectly positioned.  A short drive or bike ride to world renowned wineries to the east, Estero bay to the South, and known as the gateway to the Big Sur coast to the north.  Much like Cayucos, its many ocean front hotels and restaurants make it a popular resort destination, while its Main Street has a charm to it that sets it apart from the rest of SLO.  Main Street is composed of the East Village with views of the foothills that carry on for miles and miles, through wine country and eventually out to Paso Robles.  The West Village follows Santa Rosa Creek out to where it empties into the Pacific Ocean.  Here you've got Moonstone Beach where beachcombers hunt for sea glass. heading north on Moonstone Beach you have a dozen hotels overlooking the rugged coastline and sandy coves.  A town favorite, The Sea Chest is found in this area of town.  The East Village is home to Linn's, a family owned restaurant, Robin's, an international fusion favorite, Las Cambritas Mexican restaurant, among other shops, cafés, antique stores and even an historic saloon called Mozzy's.  A health food store called Soto's True Earth is one of the better organic markets of its size to be found anywhere.  The West Village is home to more art galleries, antique stores, cafés and restaurants, Including Madelines, and the best place to catch a game with a burger and a brew, the West End Bar and Grill.  Too many great restaurants and shops to mention here, Cambria is a great place to spend a week, and an even better place to call home.  There are many distinct residential neighborhoods tucked into and upon the hills and canyons of Cambria.  You can find cabins and large lots on Lodge Hill and Happy Hill and ocean front homes along Moonstone Beach and Marine Terrace.  The Fiscalini Ranch Preserve is one of the most remarkable parks on the California coast with trails that meander from the Monterey Pines down to the sea.  The character of the town combines with the adventure and beauty of the open spaces makes Cambria the gem of the Central Coast.
